Doubling time was 87%, which is decent. I can't help but associate that with a "B", but I'll take it. The babymed site that has the fancy schmancy HCG Calculator says that once it hits around 1200, it takes 72-96 hours to double. Plus, um... it's still a really nice number for a 2nd beta!
My sweet nurse said that I could come in again next week to get another beta if I wanted to - for my own reassurance. Of course, that won't tell me whether there's a baby. The problem I keep having is that when I go in for the ultrasound, there's just a sac and the yolk sac--which of course is attached via the placenta, which kicks out the HCG. So you can have normal HCG's and still have no baby. My nurse also said I could come in earlier for an ultrasound to see the sac. I don't think I will though, it might cause more anxiety than it's worth, although it would be nice to know if there are more than one. My ultrasound is on the 16th, which will be 6w4d. Scary, scary!
I am however very happy with the high beta numbers! I HOPE, HOPE, HOPE that means there is at least one strong chickie with a heartbeat in there!
I had the chance to switch over to suppositories. I'm gonna be all hard core and stick with the PIO. Am badass. I just don't want to jinx anything!
Now the other wait begins...

congrats on your 2nd beta! and you are a badass sticking with the pio! my clinic sent me both the pio and suppositories like they are expecting me to chicken out, lol.
So glad you got the results today and yeah for the nice second beta, PJ! My transfer, if we get that far, will be around the 16th, so I'm hoping that's a swimmingly perfect day for both of us! No option given by my clinic for the pio. Although I know it is a pain in the ass, (literally and figuratively), I think you made the right decision. You stay strong with your bad-ass self :-)

That is a great second beta!! My doubling rate was only 60 something % and everything turned out fine for me. You can drive yourself crazy with all the stats. I know it drove me crazy. I can't wait for you u/s. I just know it will bring good news for you. Hang in there. I'll be thinking of you.

WOW! That's an awesome beta! Can't wait for your U/S report! I'll be thinking of you as I'm doing my ET! Congrats on the beta though! I hear you on the super-caution (I won't feel okay until I hear a HB either), but at least you're making huge steps in the right direction! Those numbers seem pretty awesome to me :)

That is a really strong beta number! I was going to say that the higher it gets, the less likely it is to double, so I'm really really hopeful for you! I agree with sticking with the PIO...I did it too (but ouch!). Plus those suppositories gross me out...
The numbers look amazing. I'll be thinking of you every day between now and the 16th. This is the roughest part--if you can't be hopeful and need to protect your heart, we will hope for you. Until then, distraction!

Just wanted to jump in and add my congratulations into the mix. I've followed your blog for a while now but can't remember if I have actually ever commented. Your beta numbers are GREAT! May the good news continue!
Congratulations I am so happy for you! The numbers look awesome! We miscarried several months ago and finally got pregnant again. My HCG numbers went up like yours but a little low on progesterone. I was on suppositories but went on injections when it did not go up as doctor wanted. I have been on the injections since last week and don't mind them at all. Today we are seven weeks along and got to see our yoc sac and heartbeat flicker which was so amazing! I never got that far the last time so seeing that made me start crying. I am thinking good thoughts for you and you are in my prayers!
Waiting sucks, but we are all waiting here with you and hoping that those numbers keep climbing and that your ultrasound requires tissues to wipe your tears of joy and not tears of sadness.
Can't wait for the 16th! I would go for the 3rd beta because I'm like that - I like to KNOW and be PREPARED :)

Sorry I'm late on reading this - CONGRATULATIONS!!! Those are such great beta numbers, and the m/s sounds like a very good sign as well :) The waiting is awful, I hope you're able to keep busy and distracted to get through this rough time.
