And just like that, she had some hope again.
I get to cycle!!!
Funny conversation with the nurse today -
Me: So, what are we doing differently? Dr. Ho Hum said we were tweaking things a bit, and from what you've said so far things sound pretty much the same.
Nurse (after a variety of pondering and thinking out loud): Oh! We are upping your dose from the beginning to 450iu, instead of starting out at 375iu like last time.
Me: Well, that's funny! I was thinking last cycle that if we did this again, we should start with a higher dose at the beginning. You know, cuz I am doctor and everything!
Nurse (laughing): Well yes, and we respect that!
OK. Maybe you had to be there? Or maybe I am just so tickled that anything is funny. :)
My meds were initially $1850, but I had some discount card for the GonalF from the pharmacy, so it wound up being around $1600. Yowzaaaa! It'll probably end up being more than that, if we have some success. I think that's about 5 days worth.
I'm waiting for ole aunt flo to arrive, I feel she is imminent. Then I have to go in for an ultrasound.
Oh, and apparently my center IS open on Thanksgiving only for IVF stuff. So, I may get to go in for a monitoring appointment then. :P

Yay, yay, yay!!! Oh, I am SO dang happy for you! I know it's just the start, but good news is good news, right? :)
Wow!
I tried to leave a post and noticed that instead of saying what I wanted to:
Wooo-hoo!
It's on 'til the break of dawn!
I'm glad you don't have to wait any longer.

When I went to remove it it came back with this ominous, "This comment has been removed by the author."
I'm such a dork!
Yes!
Yaaaaaay!!
Big hugs and high hopes for this cycle!!
I am so glad you are no longer stuck but sticking yourself. :) My IVF coordinator also thinks out loud A LOT. I find it interesting that we are learning enough to make the calls just as the doctor does. Wonderful that you have something to feel thankful for even if it is a turkey day ultrasound.
And oh wow. Have you thought about how bloated you with feel after Thanksgiving dinner this year??
Oh, I"m so glad you are able to move forward! Great news! I hope this is trend for you going forward.
If we had access to an u/s machine and knew how to get those little suckers out, I'm pretty sure I could mix up my own brew of meds. (;
I'm so happy that you are getting to cycle right now!! Come on AF!!
Yay for you! Guess this puts some "thanks" in Thanksgiving!
